Replacing existing windows and doors can vastly improve the interior of your home, whether that’s by reducing draughts or by allowing more natural light into the home. Such was the case for Mr and Mrs Curry of Ayr, who recently had their back and front doors replaced by Tom Callaghan Windows and Conservatories Ltd. Mr Curry said: “We’ve been in the property for a few months now and replacing the doors was one of a number of jobs needing done. The existing door at the front had no glass in it and was old, resulting in draughts due to the poor fit and a dark hallway. We wanted to address those problems and replace the existing door with a replacement that fit right, closed right and brightened the hallway.” |
Mr Curry said: “We popped into the showroom and were impressed by what we saw and by who we spoke to. Grant was excellent when we spoke at the showroom; he was very clear and precise. When he came out to take measurements, he really showed his technical skill by talking us through the measurements of different areas and describing the implications of that. The service we received prompted us to do business with the company.”
The couple were also delighted with the job done by the fitters, Phil and Declan, saying: “The job came together very quickly; in fact, they worked even quicker than we expected. The fitters were good guys and did a great job. They communicated with us on a regular basis and asked our opinions on things as they worked.”
When asked what they thought of the finished product, Mr Curry said: “It’s absolutely fantastic. We decided to go for a green door surrounded by white to fit the local environment; Ayr is quite a green place and our property backs onto the woods. The front door is excellent, not just because of the colour but also because of the quality and the light it brings to the hallway. The quality of the finish is just great. The new back door is almost completely glass, making it much brighter in the kitchen; it’s great to be able to see into the garden and into the trees.”
